A genuine U.S. Navy ships clock by the Chelsea clock company. Stamped to the 5 1/2" dial 'Chelsea Mark 1 Deck clock 1940' with serial number 281463 stamped to the mechanism of 8-day duration. A convex bevelled edge glass. A clever, quality design of the back hinged to access rear wind and set.
