A Rare Victorian Silver & Cranberry Glass Pepper Pot

A gorgeous pierced silver pepper caster from the end of the Victorian era. This superb and eye-catching piece is of cylindrical form with a bayonet fitting lid. The base has a fluted border and the design is repeated on the lid. The glass interior is in desirable cranberry glass. An excellent collector's piece, both usable and decorative. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents, splits or losses to the silver and no cracks or chips to the glass. One of the hallmarks has punched through, which is not damage but part of the Assay process.
Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.
Date :- Sheffield 1900.
Maker :- Hawksworth, Eyre & Co Ltd.
Base diameter :- 4.1 cms.
Height to top of finial :- 7.3 cms.
