Rowland Henry Hill 1873-1952.Landscape and figure painter in oil and watercolour.Born in Halifax and studied at Bradford School of Art and Herkomer School Bushey.Exhibited 21 works at the RA from 1897,in the provinces and at the Paris Salon.Lived at Hinderwell near Staithes.Hill was a leading member of the Staithes School of Artists.
