Description

The first bedside cabinet with rectangular top and stepped edge above an open recess and a pair of panel cupboard doors on fluted feet, bearing label for 'Token Works', inscribed 'Token works, handmade furniture made by Betty Joel, made by G.E. Ashley, at Token work, 1929.

The second cabinet of similar form with rounded corners and bun feet bearing label for 'Token Works', inscribed 'Token Works, handmade furniture made by Betty Joel, made by A. Paine at Token Works, Portsmouth, 1928'.

Both with inset protective glass tops and made in oak and walnut.
