Ansonia Drop Dial Wall Clock

Description

An Ansonia drop dial regulator wall clock. An octagonal walnut case with glass door to the bottom section of the case. A brass bezel with ebonised surround. Original back paper visible through the case glass. A 12" dial with subsidiary seconds. An 8-day 'regulator' mechanism striking the 1/2 hour and hours on a gong stamped 'Ansonia'. Circa 1885.
