Pair of Georgian Silver Plated Wine Coasters or Bottle Coasters, Circa 1800

Description

These simple and elegant Georgian Old Sheffield Plate wine coasters are in lovely original condition. They are smaller than wine coasters so would have been for wine bottles rather than decanters. The straight sides with reeded scroll border. The attractive pale turned fruitwood bases with silver button.

Original green baize on the underside.

Condition:

Very good.

Some copper showing through but does not detract and add to the patina of these beautiful Georgian coasters.

sit firmly, no distortion to the wooden bases.

Maximum diameter: 11cm / 4.5 inches.

Height: 5cm / 2 inches.
