A gold plated 1916 Illinois Watch Company pocket watch. An enamel dial with blued steel 'moon' hands. A subsidiary seconds dial with blued steel hand. An ALD Dennison 'Star'. gold plated case. A well engraved Illinois mechanism with lever escapement. Serial numbers date this watch to 1916..A presentation engraving to the inside for 'CS Smoothy, Twickenham Fire Brigade on his retirement 1935.'
