A Fabulous Silver Plated Double Preserve Stand

1900 - 1920
Description

A fabulous silver plated double preserve stand dating to circa 1900. The twin preserve jars have a gentle optic swirl and charming etched decoration. Each base is finished with a polished pontil mark. The silver plated frame has an arched handle, with a shaped base and four ball feet. Each jar has a silver plated lid and matching spoon. This superior example has numerous uses, either as a breakfast piece with marmalade and jam or for afternoon tea, with light and dark jam or honey. A lovely decorative and practical piece.
