Description

Early 19th.c. mahogany chest of drawers c.1820. Useful small size, just three feet wide. Well figured mahogany veneered top with a broad crossbanded border with inlaid boxwood stringing and a crossbanded edge. Over two short and three long drawers of graduated height. Cockbeaded drawer fronts with inlaid bone escutcheons and period replacement brass handles. Shaped apron to the front and sides with a simple inlaid detail. Some wear and repairs to the veneers, otherwise very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
