A Rare 'Pointing Finger' Victorian Chester Silver Bookmark

A charming and rather rare Victorian silver bookmark. This lovely and unusual example was assayed at the sought after Chester Office. The blade shaped body is beautifully engraved to the back and has an applied 'gallery' to the top front and back. The front a hand with pointing finger (to indicate your place in the book). A wonderful collector's item and a great gift idea. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. There is some very minor 'rippling' to the flat surface, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Kite mark and registration mark are also present.

Width :- 1.8 cms. (widest point).
