An early 20th century antique oak monk’s bench with carved decoration. The monk’s bench has a flip over back rest that can be flipped over to create a useful table. The bench has decorative carved arms and a hinged seat that opens to reveal a generous storage space below. There are two panels to the front with further carved decoration. A well proportioned example of an early 20th century antique oak monk’s bench.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the table top, table top edge, and seat (pictured). The monk’s bench remains structurally solid and sound.
