Pair of Early Victorian Silver Plated Wine Coasters, Circa 1840

Description

These beautiful Old Sheffield Plate decanter coasters are very elegant and decorative. The straight sides pierced with lattice and geometric patterns and engraved with bright-cut embellishments. The wavy rim with a delicate gadroon border. One with a turned mahogany base, the other with a slightly different turned oak base.

Condition:

Good.

No base metal showing through, sit firmly.

Wooden bases in good order.

Replacement green baize at the bottom.

Dimensions:

Maximum diameter: 14cm / 6.2 inches.

Height: 5cm / 2 inches.
