Description

This is a truly exceptional late Georgian, early Victorian glazed library cabinet of very large proportions.

The mahogany has a wonderful colour which sets this piece off perfectly. The quality is superb with finely caved claw feet and fret work cornice. The base has a smooth running drawer with Chippendale inspired carved decoration and brass pulls.

In the feet there are concealed brass casters which is the same for the back legs also.

The overall condition is very good with only a few minor faults. The cornice has an old repair but no losses, barely noticeable. Then the original lock has been changed to a simple turn lock which works perfectly and looks to have the original key.

The interior has fully adjustable shelves as well so a fabulous looking piece and practical. It also breaks down into 3 pieces so very easy to move around.
