Description

An unusual novelty silver double stamp box dating from early in the reign of George V and of superior gauge. This charming piece is fashioned to represent a case, with twin pull handles (suggesting a drop down front). The lid is hinged and decorated with engine turned design and a central vacant cartouche. The interior has a partition to the centre and is fully gilded. Novelty desk items are always collectable and this unusual and attractive example would make a lovely gift idea. Dimensions below.
