Edith Alice Andrews 1874-1958.Garden and flower painter and illustrator.Lived at various addresses in the south of England including Sandwich ,Kent and High Wycombe,Buckinghamshire.Exhibited 1900-1940 including 12 works at the RA,also at the Walker Art Gallery,Liverpool,The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and elsewhere.The Victoria and Albert Museum hold examples of her book illustrations. ‘Primroses,Grape Hyacinths and other Spring Flowers in a Bowl’ signed watercolour,image size 23x29cms;framed size 43x48cms.Housed in a new gilt frame with wash line mount.As this watercolour has not been framed previously the colours are particularly fresh.
