Description

This handsome vintage / antique hip flask which is made of solid silver is fully hallmarked for 1942 and is made by renowned silversmith James Dixon & Sons Ltd.
This hip flask has a beautiful monogram to the front, has a hinged flip / bayonet top which is tight and seals well so does not leak and is a good weight.
A beautiful quality antique flask in excellent condition that is nice and tactile so would make a wonderful gift.
Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked for silver, Crown for Sheffield, makers mark JD&S for James Dixon & Sons Ltd. Date letter Z for 1942.
Also marked to base with maker's mark of JD&S and 1/4 pt.
Dimensions: 9 cm (3 1/2") Width. 3 cm (1") Depth. 14 cm (5 1/2") Height.
Holds: Approx 1/4 pt / 5 fl oz.
Total weight: 200 grams.
Condition: Excellent used antique condition with only light signs of use in keeping with age. No damage, splits, holes or breaks. A couple of shallow scuffs and light surface scratches. The hinged lid closes tightly with no leaks.
