A large and heavy pair of George V sterling silver sauce boats which have deep plain oval shaped bodies, gadroon decoration around the top rims, leaf capped scroll handles and each resting on three attractive shell designed feet. These silver sauce boats have been made to a very high standard, have been well cared for over the years and would look impressive when displayed on the dining table. One sauce boat is dated for 1913 and the other one is dated for 1914 but both were made by Heming & Co. Ltd. They weigh 25.9 troy ounces (806 grams).
Height (to the top of the handle): 13 cms (5.1'')
Length (from the spout to the back of the handle): 20.2 cms (8'')
Width: 10.5 cms (4.1'')
They were hallmarked in London for 1913/14 by Heming & Co. Ltd. and they remain in excellent condition.
