A wonderful find, this English or French letter opener is made from solid cast bronze beautifully cast with the wings elongated upwards to form the blade.

The charming Cherub or Putti figure stands on a Marble sphere, all has a stunning natural patina.

Due to the quality materials that were used to create this piece, it has a lovely weight and is wonderfully tactile.

Charming and as usable as 150 years ago. Excellent condition, 8 3/4" in length.
