Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Regency era.
A lovely addition to any period property.
This rare chair features a moulded and flame grain veneered head rail over a a shaped splat with central turned paterae. The chair has shepherds crock scrolled arm supports on shaped side rails which finishes to sabre front legs. The chairs original drop in seat pad unusually has antique red velvet material in surprisingly really good clean condition, which is the reason we have not reupholstered. The inner horse hair padding is in good condition and the chair is comfortable to sit on. The chair is solid with no loose joints or wobbles. This charming chair is in a lovely original condition which we have just enhanced by carefully waxing this item to preserve and give a natural sheen.

Please note; This chair is in a lovely condition for its age as shown by the photographs, however being an antique of this age there may be blemishes here and there which we feel adds to its charm and character. The chair has signs of of historic wood worm to the back rail and the front legs have been repaired at some point in its long life but has been done well and are strong.
