Description

A wonderful 19th century silk picture.

This is in super condition.

I think the backing fabric could be a very fine cotton or silk.

It is rather charming that the original pencil lines have been left on the background, not sure if this indicates that there was going to be further work done on the background, but the subject matter stands alone.

The silk embroidery is in super condition and the colours are good and strong.

Not sure if the frame is original but it has certainly been in the frame for some time.

The frame is showing signs of wear and age please see pictures.
