~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A beautiful original antique French cartel wall clock. It is finely made in ormolu (finely gilded bronze doré) in the Rococo style and features a dolphin to the top, riding a C scroll of surf. The case is formed of flowing splashes of scrolls and acanthus. It is in stunning condition, finely modelled with good original gilding.

The large dial is porcelain enamel on copper with separate minute ring and brass hands.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running and striking, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some tiny nibbles to the winding holes and a light scratch. The original glass has a small chip to the bottom edge.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
