A pretty Edwardian silver sovereign case hallmarked on the inside of the lid Birmingham 1905 with makers mark for William Hair HASELER. It is also hallmarked on the coin keeper in the main part of the case. Typically this has a plain silver exterior as it was a useful pocket object. The catch to open the lid is operated by pressing the button in side the ring and easing the two parts open at the side. It works perfectly. The coin keeper and spring work perfectly too. Excellent condition.
