Description

Silver Waltham pocket watch, 1930.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement, grade 620, which is working nicely. The movement has nicely patterned plates, Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision and it is fully signed along with the serial number 27,108,523 which dates it back to 1930. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a little unevenness.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for Birmingham 1929 with a maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison. Dennisons made most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in lovely condition, just a slight indentation to the case back.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a Chichester jeweller.
