Delightful Edwardian Silver Vesta Case by Thomas Hayes, Birmingham 1906

1900 - 1920
Description

This exquisite Edwardian silver vesta case bears the marks of the prolific Thomas Hayes and is dated Birmingham 1906. The slightly curved rectangular silver body engraved with foliate decorations srrounding a vacant heart-shaped reserve to the front. . The back engraved with floral designs. The base with striker.

Sprung hinged cover.

Ring attachment to the side.

Hallmarks:

T.H for Thomas Hayes.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "g" for 1906.

Dimensions:

5cm x 3.5cm

Condition:

Very good

No dings or dents.

Strong hinge.

Spring mechanism in full working order.
