Gorgeous Art Deco Silver & Guilloche Enamel Scent Bottle by Henry Clifford Davis, Birmingham 1927

1900 - 1920
Description

This exquisite silver and cornflower blue guilloche enamel scent bottle is dated Birmingham 1927 and was made by Henry Clifford Davis who produced numerous guilloche enamel vanity items. The honeycomb cut glass body fitted with a silver screw-top lid. The lid inset with a vivid blue enamel cabochon. The neck fitted with the original clear glass stopper. it's a medium-sized scent bottle and has a lovely tactile feel to it.

Hallmarks:

HCD for Henry Clifford Davis.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "C" for 1927.

Dimensions:

Height: 7 cm / 2.4 inches.

Diameter: 5cm / 2 inches.

Condition:

Enamel in excellent condition.

Minor dings to silver lid, commensurate with age.

Glass body, glass neck and glass stopper in good condition.
