Youngs Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
The chest retains its original drawer linings , with the three drawers having the grain of the bottom boards running right to left and one running front to back suggesting this is a transitional period piece, where tastes and forms of construction started changing towards the end of the 17th century in to the early 18th century.
The chest is in excellent condition.
