Description

A late 17th century - early 18th century oak Geometric chest of drawers , having superb colour and patination. The chest consists of four drawers having heavily moulded fronts with geometric designs, original key escutcheons and later drop handles. The chest retains its original drawer linings , with the three drawers having the grain of the bottom boards running right to left and one running front to back suggesting this is a transitional period piece, where tastes and forms of construction started changing towards the end of the 17th century in to the early 18th century.

The chest is in excellent condition.
