The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Thomas Russell & Son logo.

In 1881 the company started importing movements from Switzerland, such as the one we have in this particular watch.
The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and it is signed inside the case back “Thos Russell & Son”, together with the case maker’s name Illinois Watch Case Company of Elgin. The case is in lovely condition, as is the glass lens, just a small nibble to the bevelled edge.
The signed dial is in its very nice condition.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
