Victorian Natural Pearl Chain Necklace, Circa 1900

Description

A desperately lovely Victorian pearl necklace. Fifty-two natural (not cultured) seed pearls have aged to a lovely creamy grey lustre, and are set on a 22k yellow gold chain. The plain back segment of the necklace is a fine (but strong) 9k chain, secured with a small bolt ring clasp.

Circa – 1900.

Measurements – The chain is 18 inches long.

Metal – The pearl-set part of the chain is 22ct gold. The plain section is 9k gold. Tested.
