The clock has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and a polished brass bezel.

The movement is a rare year long duration timepiece regulator with deadbeat escapement and five winding barrels.

Achille Brocot

Louis Achille Brocot was born in 1817 to a renowned clockmaking family who then went on to become a clockmaker and mathematician winning many gold awards for his work. His most known discovery is the mathematical structure useful for approximating real numbers by rational numbers. He invented the Brocot suspension which allowed the length of the pendulum to be altered, adjusting the time by turning a key on the dial. He died in 1878.
The clock movement has been serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
