This fascinating sailor's woolwork picture which dates from c1860 is a wonderful and original piece of folk art that has been handmade from wool and depicts a 19th century steam sailing ship offshore with a lighthouse on the cliffs.

This Victorian seascape is a large size being 85 cm in length, comes in it's original wooden frame, glazed and still has the original untouched backing.

Dimensions: 85 cm (33 1/2") Length. 40.5 cm (16") Height.

Condition: Nice original condition with age related wear and marks. Some old moth to the edges, fading and staining. Glass is in good condition. Original untouched backing.
