Description

A fabulous silver and cranberry glass sugar caster. This lovely example is in the Georgian revival taste, with an urn shaped body on a pedestal foot. The lid is pierced, with bead edging and removed by a bayonet fitting. The body has vertical piercing with draped garlands and a vacant cartouche to the front and the base repeats the beaded edging of the lid. Inside is a gorgeous cranberry glass liner. This quality piece is by the great Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. and is a superb gift idea, both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.
