A fine and charming oil on canvas floral still life painting by Anne Davidson Muir (1875–1951). The work is title on the reverse: ‘Anemones and Love-in-the-mist’ and the flowers are seen arranged in a blue and white vase. The technique is very detailed and confident with a lovely use of colour. The work is in good untouched condition and retains the Paisley Art Institute exhibition label on the reverse. The frame is the original and of a fine quality with a bronzed finish. The painting is signed to the lower right: ‘Anne D Muir’.
