Description

A fine Victorian mourning brooch showcasing an arrangement of golden hair formed into a fleur-de-lis pattern and adorned with gold thread and three tiny seed pearls.

The centrepiece is arranged under glass in a particularly nice sturdy twist frame of nine-carat gold. The reverse has a panel of very finely woven hair beneath the glass.

The brooch is in very good antique condition; there are some small specks which have worked their way beneath the glass over the long history of the piece. The pin is slightly bent but fits perfectly into the clasp. No chips or cracks to the glass.

Size: 4 x 4.5cm.
