Description

Fine set of six George III country made elm dining chairs with shaped pierced splat backs and shaped top rails. Raised on square legs united with plain stretchers and with fixed rush drop in seats. All in fine condition and are strong, solid and firm. All original except a couple of replacement stretchers on one chair and one on another. Lovely deep rich colour with superb waxed patina - they glow.
Size; 37" high, 20" wide at front, 18" deep. Seat height 17.5"

Dealer in hand picked Georgian and earlier furniture, ceramics, metalware and silver. Also stocked 19th. Scottish paintings and oriental rugs. Business founded in 1854 in Portsmouth, now run by myself the fourth generation near Perth in Scotland. Shop open Monday to Saturday 9a.m, to 5p.m. Ample free parking.
