Very nice Japanese Meiji (mid 19thC) five-case inro depicting a traditional reed canoe (ahi-bune) in gold maki-e with hiramaki-e and takamaki-e. The interior is decorated in nashiji. Comes with an agate ojime. Unsigned.
Meiji Period, mid 19th Century
Height 10cm, width 5cm, depth 3cm
Excellent original condition, no damage and only a few signs of wear.
