Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The underside with a broad spooned trigger guard, finished with a finial. The ringed pipes holding the ram rod. The whole within a walnut body, the butt finished with a brass plate. The barrel proof marked twice and engraved for 'LONDON'. The mechanism with slide safety, and engraved for the maker 'HADLEY'.
All in very good and attractive condition.
