Gothic Carved Oak Box Settle C.1910.

1900 - 1920
Description

Small Gothic style carved oak box settle c.1910. Decorative carved backrest, the top rail with three ogee arches with acanthus detail over square panels with double arches filled with a floral trellis, between carved mullions and rear stiles. Enclosed ends with flat armrests, raised and fielded side panels and a carved scroll to the front. Board seat with a deep moulded front edge, lifts to reveal useful storage inside for boots and shoes etc. Four small linen fold carved panels across the front set within moulded surrounds. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
