Magnificent English Sterling Silver Travel Compendium - 1895

Description

A truly stylish late Victorian travel / desk compendium made from solid silver fully hallmarked for London 1895.

The two doors to the front are held together by a catch on the top, once released, the interior reveals an absolute joy, the interior washed in gold. The compendium consists of a thermometer, clock and perpetual calendar, all in working order.

The makers mark is also present for Henry Stuart Brown. Excellent condition measuring 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 3 1/2" tall while all closed up.
