~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A beautiful original antique French boudoir clock. It is made of exquisite ormolu (finely gilded bronze) mounted with delicately painted Sèvres style porcelain with a pompadour rose pink ground. The panel below the dial is finely painted with a scene of a young couple relaxing in country setting.

The curved side panels and the dial are beautifully painted with floral swags and fine gilt decoration. The dial is complete with its original hands. Please note that this type of clock does not have a glazed bezel or rear door.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The porcelain is excellent with no damage and the gilt over-glaze decoration is also excellent with hardly any wear.

Clockmaker's mark on the inside plate of the movement

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
