A beautiful silver & cut glass Perfume Bottle. The glass is beautifully cut in an unusual design which compliments the lovely Greek Key decoration to the silver top. The lovely sturdy solid weight silver top is hinged and opens to reveal a deep yellow gilt interior and an original a glass stopper which fits snugly. The silver collar is hallmarked for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1928 and Lion Passant to indicate sterling silver. Maker's marks are also visible for the renowned silversmiths: Mappin & Webb.
An exceptional Scent Bottle, the fine quality of the maker is evident in both the wonderful silver top and the cut glass base.
Condition: The cut glass is in super condition. The lid bears a very tiny indentation around the top rim (this is hardly noticeable and we mention it for accuracy only - it does not detract from the beauty or quality of this item whatsoever - please see images).
Hallmarks: London 1928 by Mappin & Webb
