Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It is of exceptional quality, with an unusual top that spins round and unfolds to double in size. This chest has brass corner fittings, sunken military drawer handles & brass side handles. It’s also beautifully finished on the back too, so can be used as a free standing item.
The top & the drawer fronts are all inlaid & cross banded, with beautifully patterned veneers in the middle.
We have recently had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
