W.J. Gravener Antiques Ltd. has dated this piece to the Regency era.
Standing on reeded bun feet with inset castors above which are pilasters bordering flame mahogany panel doors, behind is a shelf to one side and sliding pigeon holes to the other. Further up are a pair of frieze drawers and the slide out writing surface all with original rosewood knobs. The cylinder opens to reveal an interior of drawers, pigeon holes and a rising writing area with the original black leather. The top has a brass gallery that retains its gilt lacquer. In very good and original condition. 1090mm high. 1090mm wide and 570mm deep. English. Circa 1815.
