Description

A stunning pair of antique high back carver armchairs in the Queen Anne style. These were made in England, they date from around the 1920’s.

They are of absolutely wonderful quality, they are beautifully designed and extremely elegant. The solid walnut frames have exquisite carving throughout, with lions head carving on the arms and carved hairy paw feet. The upper back rests and knees have lovely acanthus leaf carving.

We obtained these in excellent condition and have just given them a light clean and wax polish to the frames. The wood is clean, sturdy and sound, with a beautiful patina and only some extremely minor wear. They are upholstered in a top quality patterned fabric, which is also in excellent condition throughout.
