A Fabulous Set of 4 Rat-tail Early 18th Century Silver Table Spoons

A fabulous set of six early 18th Century silver tablespoons from the reign of George II. These handsome and practical examples are in the sought after Hanoverian pattern and have a handsome rat-tail to the reverse of each bowl. To the top of the shank is a handsome engraved armorial.

Flatware is rather scarce nowadays due to the great losses, caused by the unscrupulous melting of antique silver for scrap. Therefore a complete and matching set of four, from this early in the 18th Century is a rare find. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no holes or splits.The bowl tips to all are showing some wear to one side and there are the expected minor 'digs and dimples', commensurate with age and use over nearly 300 years.
