A magnificent early 19th Century mahogany Dutch marquetry mirror. In mahogany with beautiful marquetry inlays in exotic woods depicting trailing tulips and flowers. A good example, typical of Dutch marquetry, the frame is concave in profile with a great untouched colour and warm patina. The mirror is in good untouched antique condition with just enough loss of silvering and foxing to look its age but be still be functional. With brass chain ready to hang. Could be used horizontally as an overmantle or vertically in a hall or bedroom.

Mahogany with exotic wood inlay

Condition Report:

General wear, and marks to mirror and frame commensurate with age. Original mirror plate with some foxing and loss of silvering commensurate with age.
