Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
Below the drawer are a pair of sliding tambour doors with brass knobs and fancy brass escutcheons. The tambour doors slide open to reveal the interior with oak shelves. It is raised on elegant tapered shaped block feet. A fine example, in good condition with beautifully warm colour to the well figured mahogany.
