Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Regency era.
With scroll arms on carved supports the drop in seat newly reupholstered and standing on reeded turned tapering front legs and splayed back legs. Would make a wonderful desk chair.

Solid and sturdy. A little give to the arms. A chip to back of top rail. Old splits (solid) where arms meet uprights. Old mend to central splat (solid). Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly reupholstered.
