Description

This incredible piece is not something that comes along every day! The unusually large moonstone cabochon, almost a sugarloaf shape, is the star of the show, with fantastic adularescence - a vibrant shimmering iridescence. The moonstone is surrounded by four natural pale blue sapphires, all set into an intricately cut out silver frame.

The brooch is not hallmarked but has been x-ray tested as sterling silver with a nine-carat gold bail (likely added later).

In excellent antique condition.

This listing does not include a chain but the pendant would look equally at home on a silver or gold necklace.

Size: 3.6 x 2.6cm (just over an inch wide), 4.2cm total drop. The moonstone itself measures approximately 2.2 x 1cm.
