Description

A delightful Victorian silver heart shape box with good hallmarks for Chester 1897. The maker’s mark is present but indistinct. The top and sides of the box are profusely decorated with baroque scrolls and trellis against a pique background. The top has a beaded edge and closes with a nice click. The central shield is vacant. The interior is gilt lined throughout. It is a good size, not the smallest of this type of box. Very good condition. No damage.
