1903 Waltham Traveler Half Hunter Pocket Watch

1903 Waltham Traveler half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement, Traveler grade, which is working nicely. The gilt movement is fully signed and the serial number 12,624,811 dates it back to 1903. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has some surface scratching.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company. Dennisons supplied most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in lovely condition.

The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed dial has blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed. There is a short faint hairline towards the edge of the bottom of the dial, only about 4mm long and difficult to see with the naked eye.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
